Fall - Time for Harvesting!

Animal Totems 3 is AT THE MANUFACTURER'S.  Happy Day!  Yes, even musicians "harvest", so it's no wonder that just like you, we've been patiently awaiting the completion of Animal Totems 3.  This has been a true experience of knowing that Universal timing is the right timing and we just can't force things to happen when we want it.   We actually learned that a long time ago, but sometimes we forget!

Anyway, we're happy that our part is done and we are now awaiting the manufacturer to do their part.

In the meantime, we've been working hard on other things.  We released "Celtic Indian" (Arvel's #24 CD), which we had been planning since last year, which has been a huge hit.

We are in Rochester, NY this weekend, to perform with the Rochester Chamber Orchestra with the Bach Children's Chorus and Genesee Valley Children's Choir coming together to sing "Path Made of Rainbow" and "Leave No Trace" with Arvel.  Rehearsal was fun (hectic but fun) yesterday, so we are really looking forward to the performance today.

Since mid-September, we've been parked in Alabama at our friend's home, where Arvel has continued to work in the studio there, and have some much appreciated visit times and meals with dear people and a nice place for the "girls" to walk, romp and visit with their friend, Buttercup.

We've also done a couple of fly dates and drive out dates, always returning to Alabama.  Got some work done on the Moho in Chattanooga and still have the ability to de-compress at the end of the long days, too.

Of course, a lot of things got a bit discombobulated (is that a word?) like with the Trip to Sweden / Finland and then the festival in Connecticut.  We are happy to say that Arvel is confirmed booked in Connecticut for the Hammonasset Beach Festival next year and hopefully without threat of hurricane!  We are working on an agreeable date with the folks in Sweden for 2016.

When gigs cancel it can play havok with our travel logistics.  Cancelled flights, RV parking (or temporary storage), dog sitting, routing, etc. My secondary or maybe tertiary job in the Air Force was Logistics Support, so I didn't realize I was preparing for a life of logistics with Arvel! Good skills to have!

All is going great, though, and we are so appreciative of friends like Valerie Salamon from Colorado, who has helped us in too many ways to count and flew to Rochester to help at the merch table, too.

As I write, Arvel is running over the material for today's concert and so I'm gonna go start getting myself ready to go and get out of Tornado Arvel's way when he starts to get his stuff ready!

We'll post whatever we can here and on Arvel's FB page (http://www.facebook.com/thearvelbird) from the concert today.

Love and blessings to you all,

P.S. newsletter coming shortly after we get back to the Motorhome.
